Ashghal opened today 3 April 2018 a new bridge over Al Shamal road directly connecting Al Itihad St. in Al Gharrafa Area & Saqr Street in Madinat Khalifa
The bridge was constructed using building materials from national factories in Qatar as part of Ashghal efforts to support and qualify the Qatari product and local suppliers to participate in projects executed by PWA
The new bridge is 600 metre with 1 lane in each direction and will connect directly the two areas of Gharafa and Madinat Khalifa North eliminating the need to pass through the Al Shamal road
The construction of the bridge required the use of a giant crane that can carry weights up to 600 tons to install the 15 concrete beams
