The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the implementation of a temporary closure on part of Hazem Al Themaid Street in both directions from the roundabout at its intersection with Street 2234 towards Barga Haleema Street in Al Furoush and Al Kharaitiyat. In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, the closure will be implemented from Thursday, July 4, 2024 until Saturday, July 20, 2024 to complete the final asphalt layer of the street, as part of the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project in Al Furoush (Package 1).

During the closure period, users of Hazem Al Themaid Street who wish to continue towards Barga Haleema Street can turn right onto Umm Shahrain Street and from there turn left onto Umm Imneefa Street. Those coming from Barga Haleema Street and wishing to continue towards Hazem Al Themaid Street can turn left onto Street 332 and use the internal roads to reach their destinations, as shown in the attached map.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs to alert road users of this traffic change, and calls on all road users to adhere to the speed limits and follow the road signs for their safety.
