The Works include the repair, maintenance and reinstatement of existing Drainage Manholes, which include severe cracking around the covers and frames, depression in the carriageway surrounding and leading up to the manholes, covers and frames directly sitting on the cover slab, rocking covers, damaged iron works, and in some circumstances collapse of the manhole.
The required repair and maintenance works shall be carried out in accordance with the drawing details as attached in Section E Part 1 in the tender document.
For trench reinstatements, the QCS 2010 and the “Amendment to the code of Practice for Road Opening in the Highway – May 2013” shall be followed.
All works on the Qatar Road Network must follow and comply with the Work Zone Traffic Management Guide (WZTMG) and Traffic Diversion Process (TDP), where works affect pedestrians, clearly marked and signed pedestrian routes shall be delineated to encourage pedestrians to stay in the designated safe routes and discourage them for making dangerous shortcuts to and from the works.
The Health and Safety requirements shall be fully complied and the Contractor start-up Check list (Section E Part 4) shall be filled-up, checked and approved before starting any works at site.
The Repair and Maintenance Methodology (Section E Part 5) should be read and followed in conjunction with the drawing details as specified in Section E Part 1.
The actual quantities for whole of the Works are subject to re-measurement in accordance with Sub Clauses 55.1 and 55.2 of the Particular Conditions of Contract.
The duration of contract is 730 days and maintain the whole of the Works for 400 days after completion.
