The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the
closure of two lanes of Omar Al Mokhtar Street and Al Bidda Street known as
Majlis Al Taawon Street, for 1.5 km starting from United Nations Street towards
Lekhwair Intersection. In
coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be
implemented on Thursday 1 October 2020 for a period of 1 month to enable completion of infrastructure works, as part of the
upgrading works on some streets in West Bay Area project.
During this time, two lanes will
remain open for traffic on Omar Al Mokhtar and Al Bidda Street as well as right
turns towards intersecting streets.
The
Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the
temporary closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit,
and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
